This "twelve tone blues" concerto was inspired by years of close study with Archie Shepp and Yusef Lateef. It is from them that Jimmy learned and further developed the "twelve tone blues".

This is the first concerto written by Jimmy Connors. The First Movement is a "Twelve Tone Blues" with a 33 bar form. The Harmonic Structure is Twelve Tone.
