A music market that will happen into over 8,000 square meters of exhibition space in the most important sample fair of the Mediterranean, will host 150 stands and 1000 national and international operators; 4 spaces dedicated to selected showcases and concerts that will involve artists from Puglia, as well as Italian and international artists and 4 areas devoted to international conferences, presentations, workshops and meetings.
The opening of MEDIMEX, Thursday, November 24th at Petruzzelli Theater, will be the show Meraviglioso Modugno, a tribute to Domenico Modugno with VINICIO CAPOSSELA, SIMONE CRISTICCHI, CRISTINA DONÀ, MAURO ERMANNO GIOVANARDI, PINO MARINO, NADA & FAUSTO MESOLELLA, ROY PACI, RADIODERVISH, PEPPE SERVILLO, DANIELE SILVESTRI, SUD SOUND SYSTEM, PAOLA TURCI, PEPPE VOLTARELLI.
Friday 25th and Saturday 26th November on 3 main stages ofShowville Theater of Bari there will be the performances - reserved for registered operators - of artists from Puglia new music scene, national artists and artists from Mediterranean area: Boom Da Bash, Antonio Castrignanò, Erica Mou, H.E.R. e la Band Famenera, Mama Marjas, Mascarimirì, Jolaurlo Steela, Bianco, Fabrizio Cammarata & The Second Grace, Phinx, Roberta Alloisio, The Banditi, Savina Yannatou, Rodrigo Leao, Badiaa Bouihrizi, Fanfara Tirana & Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, Moussu T e Lei Jovents, Djmawi Africa, Sonia Brex e Trans Global Underground & Natacha Atlas.
Friday 25, Saturday 26 and Sunday 27, Medimex include in its program a series of international conferences. Assessments and views, future and trends, will be the central themes of a debate on music industry that will see the participation of institutions, journalists, art directors, professionals and musicians. From "The Land that resounds.The music as economic promotion of the territory", during which will be compared important experiences of festivals in Italy, Europe and North Africa,"Music and Revolution" , analysis on the recent political and cultural situation of North Africa and Middle East, by " Culture, a new industrial pluster” promoted by the General Direction of SIAE to “Who's Afraid of music?" sponsored by XL music supplement of the Republic, which will see the participation as speakers MANUEL AGNELLI, FRANCO BATTIATO, VASCO BRONDI (OVVERO LE LUCI DELLA CENTRALE ELETTRICA), CAPAREZZA, DANIELE SILVESTRI.
During the three-day Music Expo will be held also several press conferences and presentations of new projects and music initiatives: 99POSSE, LE LUCI DELLA CENTRALE ELETTRICA, TEATRO DEGLI ORRORI, TEATRO VALLE OCCUPATO, ASSOMUSICA, WOMEX, FIRA DI MANRESA, YOU TUBE, MYSPACE, NOTE LEGALI, many others.
Within the Medimex scheduled the presentation of four music awards: Best Italian Artist Award MEDIMEX to Vinicio Capossela, Best International Artist Award MEDIMEX to Natacha Atlas and two MEI awards, PIMI - Independent Music Italian Award with Massimo Volume, Paul Benvegnù Brunori Sas, Le Luci della centrale elettrica and many others, and PIVI - Italian Award Independent Videoclip with 99 posse, Daniele Silvestri and many other guests.
