Les DeMerle Amelia Island Jazz Festival
Grammy Award-winning Zydeco artist Buckwheat Zydeco is set to headline the 2011 Amelia Island Jazz Festival. The band which the New York Times recently called "one of the best party bands in America", will perform Saturday, October 8 within an expanded courtyard seating arrangement at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Fernandina Beach.

Also at the Festival will be internationally acclaimed and sultry songstress Nicole Henry with her eight-piece group. She will perform Friday, October 7 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Fernandina Beach.
Other performers for the 2011 Festival will include Virgin Records recording artist, violinist Doug Cameron, special guest with the Les DeMerle Band featuring Bonnie Eisele with "Gypsy Rendezvous" a tribute to the late great fiddler and Django Reinhardt accompanistStephane Grapelli<...more 2011 Headliners>


Inaugural U City Jazz Festival Draws Jazz Lovers, Young and Old
"I love jazz," said Curtis Norman, who attended the festival with his wife.
"We heard about in on NPR and it sounded like fun," said Randy Geary, another attendee.Event organizers (and brothers) Michael and Rob Silverman can be counted in the many jazz enthusiasts at the event, as they are both musicians and played a set during the festival.
Throughout Saturday, jazz enthusiasts of all ages made their way to University City's Heman Park for the inaugural U City Jazz Festival.
Scarborough Jazz FestivalJAZZ fans descended upon the refurbished Spa Complex for the 9th Scarborough Jazz Festival.Music lovers both young and old attended the three-day festival, which saw performances from leading international acts such as Hadouk Trio, Mina Agossi and legendary jazz pianist Jacques Loussier.
