Last
year Gwilym was commissioned to write a suite with Welsh singer Kizzy
Crawford about the beautiful RSPB bird reserve at Carngafallt in mid
Wales. The music fuses soul, jazz, classical, folk and features some
great players from Sinfonia Cymru. The resultant tour was a great
success and Hampstead Arts Festival were so inspired by the performance
that they offered to help fund a recording. The recording process
started in September at Curtis Schwartz's studio in West Sussex and will
be released in the Spring of next year on Basho Records. A launch date
has been set for Thursday 10th May at St John's Downshire Hill in Hampstead. Tickets are available NOW.
