CLARA HABERKAMP TRIO - Nicht rot, nicht weiß, nicht blau ( LAIKA 2013)

Standard colors are not made for the young pianist, singer and composer Clara Haberkamp. She goes their own creative way. And convinced with her trio not only the JazzBaltica Prize jury, but she also enjoys an ever-widening audience. Her piano playing and her voice, the interaction with Andreas Lang (bass) and Tilo Weber (drums) generate an explosion in the jazz rack.

Clara Haberkamp´s compositions creating melancholic and passionate sound-images. The trio dive deep into different emotions and pictures of sound, for which Clara makes her two accompanists responsible, "Tilo is very sensitive, Andreas rather spirited. These poles are full of energy. " That even her piano playing and her voice contribute a large part she proposes modest. As a child Clara Haberkamp starts playing piano,  she got her first piano lessons at six. These classical repertoire is their basic, and she discovered the parallels to jazzmusic. This "Four Letter Word" is her true love: "Jazz set you free, can itself produce and distribute energy in the same time." She finished in 2013 her piano studies at the Berlin Jazz Institute successful. Here first trio album "Nicht rot, nicht weiß, nicht blau" is just relaesed. Seven original compositions from Clara are like a walk through all emotional human feelings. Two classic tunes at the end of this album refreshing simplicity, without fear of a new and successful interpretation of well known song "I Could Have Told You".
