The album moved from number 17 to number 3 last week, taking the number 1 honour yesterday, having been the most sought-after album on over 60 jazz radio stations.
Creole Soul was released on July 23, entering the Jazz Week chart at number 51.
Charles was inspired by the kaiso and folk music of Trinidad and Tobago, as well as Haitian music, ska, rocksteady, bebop, blues and R&B, as he created the music for the album.
This is Charles’s fourth CD collection.
