Giuseppe Paradiso Meridian 71 - Otherness Collection (2012)

"Otherness Collection" is an all original compositions album, characterized by the fusion of different music styles, traditions and cultures, melded together by using the jazz key.

GIUSEPPE PARADISO was born in Santeramo in Colle (Bari, Italy) in 1983 and started his musical studies on drums at the age of six years old. 
Giuseppe graduated from the Italian Conservatory "N. Piccinni" of Bari, in classical percussion instruments and from Berklee College of Music in Boston in drums; he was awarded several scholarships based on merit and performance. He studied also composition and classical piano at the conservatory of Bari.
As well as his classical training, he studied jazz and contemporary music with several international re-known musicians and attended master classes such as “Siena Jazz” (Italy),"Berklee Summer School at Umbria Jazz" clinics, where he received a Berklee Scholarship for a full-time program at BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC in Boston, among many others.
He has performed internationally with artists, groups and orchestras from all-over the world, including a large variety of musical genres from symphonic orchestras to small groups. His performances include multiple festivals, venues, universities and events, to name a few: "Festival Duni" (Matera, Italy), "Les Journee de la Percussion" at Conservatoire Superior de Paris (Paris, France), "Festival Paleariza" (Reggio Calabria, Italy), "Le Giornate Della Percussione" at the Conservatory “G.B.Pergolesi” (Fermo-Ascoli Piceno, Italy), Berklee Performance Center (Boston, USA), Hard Rock Café of Boston, Regatta (Boston, MA), Gregory’s Jazz Club (Rome, Italy) among many others in Europe and the United States. 
TV appearances include a documentary for Spanish TVE LA2 “Entre Dos Aguas” produced by 7 times Latin Grammy Award winner Javier Limón; FOX (United States) and several Italian TV programs. 
He has recorded several albums as a sideman/drummer in the United States and Italy in a large variety of musical genres ranging from Pop to Jazz. As a band leader, he recorded the “Otherness Collection” in 2012, featuring all original compositions written by him with his own international band “Meridian 71”.
