The musical event which should not be missed in Mons is, without any doubt, at the end of this summer, the festival "Mons en Jazz". This year, its 11th edition will take place on two days - September 9th and 10th - with 6 bands.
Friday 9, will open with the group Belch' Quartet whose belgian songs arrangements of any styles will delight a very vast public ; Jean-Paul Estievenart will come back in trio after his noticed performance in 2008 and the trio Ivan Paduart will make us discover his last CD "Blue Landscapes", defined as a melodious modern jazz.
Saturday 10, will open with Anne Wolf Trio who will present his new CD "Moon at Noon"; Followed by a moment not to miss with the Fred Delplancq Band who will present his new project through which he pays tribute to one of the giants of the jazz’s history, always performing, the saxophonist tenor Sonny Rollins; the evening will end with the mesmerizing and intense belgian singer Mélanie De Biasio, whose reputation already exceeds by far the belgian borders, and which will be, for the first time, on the stage of " Mons en Jazz ".
"Mons en Jazz" is naturally a jazz festival but it is also creations that ally numerous musical styles. So, let’s go!
